No matter what I do, it always gives one excuse or another. When I proceeded to run DynDOLOD, in 3.2 (?), it doesn't give me the option to select SSE mode and later gives an error.
From the one time it did work, which was a fluke, I took the output folder and zipped and installed it as a mod in NMM, along with the DLLs and other things I just mentioned. In 3.00, TexGen64 gives an error that there is not a waterfall effect texture. At least TexGen64 worked in that version. I think there is a newer version, (3.2?), but when I tried to run it, it didn't give me the option to select SSE mode instead of TES5 and gave an error after it started to run. DynDOLOD resources 3.00 Alpha, and DynDOLOD 3.0 Alpha. I have Skyrim AE on my laptop with the version of SKSE64 for Skyrim AE, and that works fine. Every time I try, it gives a different excuse for not working.
I have been trying since November, 2021 to get DynDOLOD to work. Typically a new DynDOLOD.DLL is required for each new game version, but not each new SKSE version. The future will tell how long it takes to release updates.
First, search this thread if it has been requested already, though. If a DynDOLOD.DLL version is required for a game version that is not listed below, request it in this thread. If there are problems with it, check DynDOLOD_DLL.html and the DynDOLOD FAQ first before posting. DynDOLOD\Docs\DynDOLOD_DLL.html included in DynDOLOD Standalone for an explanation about DynDOLOD DLL, installation instructions (overwrite papyrus scripts of DynDOLOD Resources) and how it works. It works with dynamic LOD generated by DynDOLOD Standalone 2.45 and newer. Starting with version 2.45 there is now the alternative DynDOLOD DLL available. So far all versions of DynDOLOD use the SKSE plugin PapyrusUtil for the optional dynamic LOD in the game. So, SSE is the game everyone has, while AE is just an optional DLC package - you do not need to have the Anniversary DLC installed to have the original DLC (plus the 4 new ones which are now an integral part of the game).DynDOLOD DLL for Skyrim, Skyrim Special Edition, Skyrim Anniversary Edition and Skyrim VR
SE+AE = Skyrim Special Edition with the Anniversary Edition DLC add-onĪnd the current version (1.6.353) is the only supported version there is - the previous versions are not supported by anyone, and any person who chooses not to update, or uses a hack to roll back to a prior version, is completely on their own and will not be able to receive any help - except to be told to update their game.
SE = Skyrim Special Edition - the base game vanilla Skyrim (Includes Dawnguard, Hearthfires, Dragonborn, Saints and Seducers, Rare Curios, Fishing, and Survival Mode)ĪE = the optional/purchasable add-on or bundle - the Anniversary Edition DLC The game itself, regardless of what is added to it in addition to the base game, is still SSE, however.
To make it clear, there is no such thing as an "AE version." Though there is a store page in Steam for an "Anniversary Edition" there is no actual anniversary edition version of the game - there is SSE (which was updated to version 1.6+ and received added content and some fixes as a bonus - but is still SSE and with the last update is now 1.6.353) and the AE upgrade, the upgrade being an optional, purchasable addon - which can either be purchased separately (with having SSE as a requirement for play) or in a bundle with SSE.
